What. A. Day.
What a day. I really can’t say much more than that. What. A. Day.
I did get some writing done this afternoon and evening. I wrote in a coffee shop in town but I need to find a place closer to home that serves real food (not sugary muffins) when I’m hungry. Love the coffee but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I wrote some in my Moleskine tonight…I think I may have worked out the wall I ran into with the scene.
Uh…I am still in quite a loss for words. For a writer, that is unusual, I guess. Although I had been in a slump for a while…not lately though. I have been writing and the words are coming, even if a little slowly. I am modifying what I write as I go, which accounts for some of it.
I have to reinforce my certain love for Liquid Story Builder. I really love having the character dossiers, timeline, and the actual book all right in front of me. Highly recommended. I have Nothing to Hide and The Devil’s Web both on there. Nothing to Hide is the one I have in the example of the program.

Come into the Darkroom…quiet, private, just you and your book.
While I LOVE using Liquid Story Builder for all my plotting and planning, I do use it for actually writing. There is a typewriter feature that is very nice. You can time yourself and just write. However, I like Darkroom much more for this function. Darkroom is freeware, so you can download and use entirely free. It is customizable to appearance like colors, etc. You can set it to not allow backspacing, etc. It is a neat little program. I highly suggest it. I will be using it for JulNoWriMo. The whole point to Darkroom is shutting out the stuff that diverts your attention…internet, email, instant messaging, etc. Brilliant. You can get a copy at CodeAlchemists here.
I still stand by Liquid Story Builder. Check it out at Black Obelisk Software here.

He’s on the hunt for blood.
Came up with an idea for the anthology with Jo (aka M.A DuBarry). I’ll be working up a blurb for my novella this week to turn in to Imajinn for the erotic romance line. I was already told the book would go to print at the same time the ebook is released. I always liked Imajinn books, they were more off the wall and one of the pioneers in paranormal romance publishing.
My muse will be extremely happy he’s inspired a new story concept. Oh yes, very happy. He likes being the predator and on the hunt for sweet, rich blood. (If you can’t tell, he is a vampire in this novella.) The story will be set in Regency England and my bad boy hero lives up to the whispered rumors of debauchery with a very innocent woman who all too willingly enters his lair–to experience the dark side of passion she has only dreamed existed. Yep, I can almost see my muse’s fangs growing in anticipation.
But first things first. Got 2 other projects to finish.
And taxes to do.
And RWA paperwork to send in.
Damn it. I still need a secretary.

I’m in demand.
The above are stress management mechanisms. So, can you ask for help masturbating? Hey, I didn’t make the presentation. Yes, see the guy at the bottom. This looks like a seminar on dealing with stress. Wild. I’m still trying to figure out how washing your hands helps deal with stress…unless it is after care.
Had productive meetings today. Thanks to my peeps for motivating me to finish up the paperwork, and thanks to Dana for taking on the financial report.Could be worse, we could have hundreds of members to account for. Yah…I’m ready to not be president anymore.
I seem to be in demand the past few days. I’m going to be doing a project with pal Jo, aka M.A. DuBarry. What exactly, I’m still thinking about it. Something paranormal, of course.Time to check the idea files…
So, I got a cat shifter with Annmarie, a vampire proposal, the ghost hunter books, and a paranormal novella with Jo. Oh and my IR historical western, Bound by Ecstasy. Yup, in demand.
It’s nice to be wanted.
