Off to write at Panera
Hey all.
Okay I did go back to the gym today and had a really good workout. I bumped up the weights a bit to make it harder. Let me tell you, at one point I felt the burn in my thighs. That’s good, right? Yeah, I bumped it up because I lost nothing last week. I am still at 20lbs. Guess my body caught up with the rapid loss. But I feel fine and back in action after jury duty selection. (Again, I am so glad I wasn’t picked.)
I was tired most of the day yesterday. I went back to bed but slept a few hours, not just one. I think I’m all caught up on sleep now.
Yes, I did write yesterday. Not a whole lot, about 2 pages. Not overly good, but still, it’s progress. Once I am done blogging, I’m heading to the shower and then I’m off to write. I decided to go on down to Panera in Tallahassee. I like that place. They have great sandwiches, soup and salad.
I really wish there was a Panera in Thomasville. They dislike big businesses here. I am still shocked Applebee’s finally made it here. Seriously, some folks fought against it, wanting to keep this small town “mom and pop” businesses only. Yeah…should I mention gas is 20 cents more here than it is one town over? It’s a rip off.
Anyway, I’m working on a scene that has got me a little stumped. I want the hero and heroine to have a riff, but the stressor isn’t so much their affair as it is the outside influences. That’s what I am working through at the moment. Yeah, I have them part in my synopsis, but I am unsure if it works without making him unheroic and her a complete nut-case. LOL I mean, in my opinion, any man who walks away from a problem is a coward, so that is not an option. I’m hoping the change in writing location will help spark the idea of how to work out this little plot dilemma.
