Christmas is getting closer and closer–Updated
Did some time on the treadmill yesterday and this morning. Trying to get back on track with the basics of life, one of which is exercise.
Probably a good thing with the holiday coming up. It helps with the stress.
I’m a little less stressed about the shopping. After all, I am “Santa” for the family. I buy for the kids and husband, but I also fill stockings for my brother and my mom. I just have to get a few stocking stuffers at this point. Mom called me last night saying she wants to get the Madame Alexander horses for the girls. They are sort of “companion” to the MA “Friends 4 Life” I got the girls.
I was looking for bedtime clothes for the dolls, but I didn’t find much online. I’m driving to Target to see if they have anything. Toys R Us didn’t have anything. Heck, I had a hard time finding dolls. These dolls aren’t “baby” dolls, but like American Girl. So yeah, I’ll try the Tallahassee Target and Walmart today and see if I can finish up the girls. I’m going to treat myself to lunch at Panera and work on my book too. At least this is the plan.
I couldn’t find a picture of the dolls online (weird!) so I had to take one myself. The one here is the doll I got for Elizabeth. These dolls have a much sweeter face than the American Girl (right) dolls IMHO. American Girl is soooo expensive, especially for a play doll. People seem to go nutty over them too. I can see myself pulling out the sewing machine to make clothes for these dolls. (Need to get it to the sewing repair shop for a tune up first. Yes, I can sew. I can crochet too. One year I made a bunch of Barbie clothes for the girls, so these will be easier as they are much bigger.) I can see these dolls being a huge hit with the girls. They are just the right age for this.
After I get the kids from school today, I’m taking them to a dollar store where they can shop for presents to give. I think they are excited to do this. I did this with them last year and it worked out well.
Okay, off to get cleaned up to take Mittens for her booster shot, then on to Tallahassee!

I was crazy to think I’d be done quickly enough to sit at Panera and enjoy some soup and salad. Instead I drove all over Tallahassee to two Targets and a Walmart along with Micheal’s for some yarn. I had to eat in the car something totally unhealthy. To make up for it, when I’d park m van, I’d park far back to walk more. LOL
I’m about to crash by the tv.
And tell me, why is it when I go out (and I mean out of town) does my cell ring off the hook with people needing something from me?
