Sorry I have been neglect about posting. It is a really busy month for me. Since deciding to take on starting a new RWA chapter in Tallahassee, I have had little time to blog. I have been gathering paperwork, writing drafts of bylaws, organizing, etc. Looks like once I get the major paperwork done and in to National and the State, I might be able to breathe easier. I have most of my stuff in an almost ready state. Thank goodness for the other members for taking on duties so I am not trying to do it all myself, which wouldn’t be good or advisable. A chapter is for all the members, not just one or two people. Anyway, our chapter is the Florida Panhandle Romance Writers.
I am taking a few breaks in all of the incorporation paperwork. I have written a little and watched a few
movies. I am on a Russell Crowe kick lately. Damn, I just love him. I saw 3:10 to Yuma and had to buy it. He is sooooo… I am a big fan. I particularly like his westerns. Have you seen The Quick and the Dead? Gene Hackman is one SOB, and Sharon Stone is cool as a woman looking for revenge, but Russell… When I first saw that movie in the 90s, I knew he’d be big. Heck, when I saw him in Virtuosity, I knew he was going to be huge. He was such a great villian. If you ever want to see what I mean, go rent it. I didn’t like the movie so much as I did Russell. (And a nude scene too…chomp!) Hell, I liked him in Master and Commander and he was a bit chunkier in that. I actually kind of liked it. More to bite.
I know. I have problems. Anyway, I current favorite is 3:10 to Yuma simply because he is an outlaw, but one who does have a heart, even if it is hidden really, REALLY well. And he has a beard. Damn, I love beards. He can wear beards in every movie. I love it.
