Booksigning is canceled :(

My book signing is canceled this Friday. This is the first I heard there was any problem as two weeks ago they were ordering my books. I emailed this weekend asking for an update. Apparently they didn’t order the books…can’t do consignment…and the store is slated to close. Wow. A lot of progress for two weeks! I wonder if I was going to be informed if I hadn’t emailed for an update.  So…no signing. The only good thing is I don’t have to get up early to go into the Black Friday crowd at the mall. I can stay home.

Ugh. I have to finish up cleaning the living room today. I have to do it while the kids aren’t here. They just get in the way. I did end up getting some new curtains–sage green. Nice.

My mom came over Saturday night for dinner. We were talking about the upcoming week. She will come over everyday as my brother is here. The TV is on practically the whole time. I am not much of a TV watcher, but I do a little to be with the family. They have this thing for the A&E Poirot movies (starring David Suchet). I can sit through one movie, but they play them one after another every day. I honestly can’t take it this year. I asked (begged) her–no Poirot this Thanksgiving.  Besides, them playing those movies causes a problem with the kids as they get bored. I end up having to set up the portable DVD in their room with a kid movie. I don’t want to have to do that…unless they are bugging the crap out of me.

I got a lot to do today, so I best get started. I still have to get the turkey!
