Fun Night! My sweeties…
…are soooooo cute.
I took them to a Fall Festival at a local church, as the usual for Halloween. Only this time I went alone with the girls. Mark stayed home. He didn’t feel like going this time. But I had fun with my girls. I needed this. I love doing things with them. They make me happy.
Elizabeth was a good witch and Miriam was a tiger. I tried to find a striped shirt, but she wanted to wear all black. Who am I to argue?
Oh and AM, I did my usual putting out the bucket of candy with the sign…practically the whole thing left. We had 2 people come. LOL So we have lots left. The kids are happy about it, more Snickers and 3 Musketeers for them!
I received my signed copy of Possession today. Thanks Dev! I think I may start it tonight. The book I was reading just wasn’t appealing to me.

Tomorrow starts NaNoWriMo! I’m kind of excited. I am going with my zombie-vampire idea…but slightly different. It is going to be a hoot. AM is going to be in it and she said she wanted a handgun. I have this image of her like Pam in Barbed Wire. Me? I’ll be more like Selene in Underworld, but with a machete. We are going to be doing some major kick ass action…with a good dose of comedy and hot scenes in there. Not sure I am going to include romance…I want to target the Exotika line at EC with this, so romance is not necessary. I am still calling it Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me. It is just so perfect. I didn’t start any plans for the book other than basics in my head. Oh and I am finally going to use my leather snakeskin journal for this.
Oh and I got my NaNoWriMo t-shirt today too. (Big mail day!) It is kinda big…perfect with pj pants. LOL
OH YEAH, one of my FPHRW members, Joan, formed a group for those of us in the chapter doing NaNo this year: FL Panhandle Romance Writers.
Oh you know what? I’m going to go get out Underworld and watch it. Perfect.

Happy Halloween

The kids are already bouncing and they hadn’t any candy yet. Ugh. Save me.
A favorite Halloween movie of mine…

Still fixing the bugs
I am still in the process of getting out the glitches in the site and moving the blog. So some links may not act correct. I had a ton of tags to import and in the transfer, they came up as categories. In converting, the existing categories became tags. Ugh. Still this loads a lot faster. Blogger was so slow. In checking the analytics, people were bouncing. No sense in having a blog there if people can’t get to it, eh?

Have I told you lately…
Dear, you really take my breath away. Still. You know me so well. And thank you for…everything. You are the coolest…even if you are dense at times. Cool and understanding, but dense. (Or is that you just being a man?)
This is for you. Our song 15 years ago. I found it tonight and it made me cry. Have I told you lately that I love you? You still manage to amaze me. I love you because you let me be me….as emotional as I am. And you seem to like it.
I know you asked me NEVER to write you in a book, but you are so in my NaNo zombie book. Heh.

Tuesday recap
I am still having a lot of traffic coming in reading about my drama with Red Rose. Interesting to note I haven’t heard a peep from the owner of the company amid this. Please please, if anyone has a problem with RRP or any shady dealings with any epub, report it to Writer Beware. It takes one author to make them open a file, but it takes more than one author to report their dealings to make a case of less than stellar business practices. Preditors and Editors is also suggested as well. (They have RRP marked as “not recommended”.) Always do your homework before submitting and signing a contract. And NEVER EVER sign on because you are a friend. It never leads to anything but trouble. You will find that friend is no friend at all. This is a business. Don’t go into epublishing looking for family and friends. You have those in real life. A publishing company is NOT a family, they are there to make money. Nothing turns my stomach faster than to see an epub claim their authors are one big happy family. Come on, we all have lived through the holidays with family. How many of us pray it was all over and everyone went home? Ugh.
Okay, that was a tangent. LOL But then that is part of my usual, isn’t it?
Annmarie has been dealing with cell phone issues. She’s been stressing over her ringtones. LOL Mine is “Jessie’s Girl”. Wonder what hers is on my phone. Hmmm
The first line sounds, my daughter intelligently says, “It’s Annmarie.” LOL
I took the kids to the store to pick out their costumes for Saturday. One tiger, one witch. Halloween Store…OVER PRICED. I went to Walmart.
And if anyone has a cure for the unstoppable chatterbox mouth that is my one daughter, please tell me. From the moment she gets in the van after school to the moment she passes out at night, the mouth keeps going and going. She. Won’t. Shut. Up.
Seriously.
Tomorrow I am going out to write.
And tomorrow is the BIG chat.
Get Your Freak on chat Oct 28 @ 10pm EDT with guests ALPHA Ghost Team
Okay….that’s all. I’m done tonight.
