FPHRW rocks!
I had an awesome weekend last weekend in Panama City Beach. I got some plotting work done in the mid of shopping, chatting, and drinking coffee. The ladies in the Tallahassee chapter are so awesome. We all had fun, and planning on a second retreat later this year.

Beware Venus Press
Authors, Beware of Venus Press. They’ve had a long and sorted past that is not promising to the hopeful writer looking for a home. Search the web to information or just check places like Karen Knows Best.
Anyway, I did want to pass on aliases used by the owner in the past:
Deborah Lynne
Deborah Yoakum
Deborah Taylor
DL Taylor
Caitlyn Reynolds
Alyna Lachlan
Scarlett Chambers
Look for these names and be cautious to the fact she likes to change names like dirty socks.

Venus Press…revisited? Or is it Deborah Taylor revisited?
Looks like Deborah (Taylor) Lynne (The Dragon Laird) is gearing up to reopen Venus Press. Yep, that’s right, Venus Press. Unbelievable. Courtesy of Karen Knows…ALL
You should know that the inspirational author Deborah Lynne is not the same woman who wrote The Dragon Laird. In fact, if I know Deb, she’ll probably try to re-emerge under a different name. She ran Venus under the guise “Scarlett Chambers”. What will it be this time? ANd what will her pen name be? Of course it will be easy to see who she is when the print books start coming out because she always gave herself priority in the print lineup.

No RT this year
Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to make RT this year, despite all my plans to do just that. I went back to work because of the sucky economy (rising prices of gas, food,…EVERYTHING), and the concept of spending $2000 on RT was just beyond reason at this point. (I say $2000 due to the actual RT fee, hotel, gas, meals, promo items and a few new outfits.) I was supposed to get a new book out from EC for RT, so now I am unsure if that will come to pass.
I am so very sorry, but I just couldn’t swing RT despite my wish to go.
