Hey everyone,
I had a wonderful weekend at the Southern Lights conference in Jacksonville this past weekend. I pitched to two editors for two different books, and got requests for each. I reconnected with an agent I really liked as well. I am hoping in the next few weeks to have some VERY good news.
Right now I am off to get done my partials and sent off to those editors and agent.
This weekend I am going to the Southern Light Conference in Jacksonville, Florida. If you are in the area Saturday, be sure to come by. Suzanne Brockmann is signing as well as Alyssa Day, Caridad Ferrer, Deidre Knight, etc.
And while there, I plan on pitching a book to a few editors and agent Steve Axelrod. I am nervous as can be. Then I read this over at Dear Author. My book is mainstream romance, but still, the little snippet doesn’t help me come to grips with my frazzled nerves.
Do I write porn? No.
Do I write hot? Yes. But I do have my personal comfort level.
Is erotica or erotic romance truly pornographic? In honesty, some of it is. I’ve read quite a few books over the past year or so, and when content can be weighed three (or more) chapters of sex to one of plot, you venture into “sex for sex’s sake”, which is porn (to me). I don’t write porn, but yes, it is out there.
